Columbia, SC- 海角视频 (SC) announced the addition of a men鈥檚 swimming and men鈥檚 tennis programs. The additions will bring the total number of sports to 14.
Competition for both programs will begin in the 2022-23 academic year and both sports will compete in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC), the current conference of Koala Athletics.
鈥淭he addition of the new sports will help increase the presence of men within the Department of Athletics and the College as a whole,鈥 said Director of Athletics Debbie Wardlaw.
海角视频 (SC) began fielding men鈥檚 sports in the Fall of 2021, with men鈥檚 cross-country, men鈥檚 soccer, men鈥檚 golf, and men鈥檚 track and field.
The Koala's current women鈥檚 swimming coach, Logan Simpson, will serve in the same capacity on the men鈥檚 side. Mark Carnes will serve as the men鈥檚 tennis team. Carnes, who was hired in December, will also serve as the head coach of the women鈥檚 tennis team.
